Wrong expression to a British guy – EU CV

Wrong expression to a British guy

Last month I dated a bit with a British guy who was scared of women. He accepted the date only after a long period of me telling him that I learnt in my country to obey the man.

In my first day of quitting smoking, I misunderstood one of his jokes and got really mad. We had a strong argument, didn’t talk a couple of days. In the end, we decided to meet and make some peace. While we were walking, I was explaining to him:

-You know, I prefer to make scandal exactly when the problem appears, instead of shutting up for the moment but removing your eyes later.

The British guy, very scared, with half voice:

-Whaaaat? Were you planning to remove my eyes????

-No, it’s just an expression. It means to reproach something to someone.
